How it works?
A single-class high school section welcomes children from age 11 to 15. The education is based on long-distance learning following the CNED programmes (National Center for Long-Distance Learning), public agency of the Ministry of National Education. The curriculum is therefore equivalent to the one followed by high schools in France.
The CNED:
- delivers support manuals to each student
- establishes a calendar for homework deadlines
- grades the homeworks
- sends a six-month report to families
The high school staff is composed of:
- a tutor for literary subjects (french, history, geography, civic education)
- a tutor for scientific subjects (math, physical sciences, biology)
- teachers for foreign languages: english, slovene, spanish, italian, german
- a teacher for fine arts and music
- a sport teacher
Many excursions are offered to high school students: visits to the museums, exhibitions, theater, movies etc...
